Laura Larocca, PhD
Lab director & principal investigator
Laura is an Assistant Professor in the School of Ocean Futures and a Senior Global Futures Scientist in the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Futures Laboratory at Arizona State University. She is the director and principal investigator of the ASU Climate and Cryosphere (C&C) research group.
Laura received her PhD at Northwestern University and was a recipient of the NOAA Climate & Global Change Postdoctoral Fellowship. Her work focuses on understanding how the Arctic cryosphere evolves and interacts with other components of the global climate system under sustained warming.

Travis Zalesky, ASU PhD student
Travis is studying how high-latitude lakes are changing with warming, with a focus on lake ice phenology and thermal structure in Greenland.
Victoria Moix, ASU MSc student
Victoria is researching intra-seasonal snowline altitude change on Alaskan glaciers.
Hunter Allen, NAU PhD candidate
(co-advised with Darrell Kaufman, Nick McKay, and Erik Schiefer). Hunter is researching proglacial lakes in Alaska, using rockflour as a proxy for glacial change in the Holocene.
Eli Allred, NAU MSc student
(co-advised with Nick McKay and Darrell Kaufman). Eli is investigating the deglacial and Holocene evolution of proglacial Summit Lake in Alaska.
Taylor Schultz, NAU undergraduate student
(co-advised with Nick McKay). Taylor is mapping the LIA extents of glaciers across Alaska.
